If there is anyone in the area, please reply. I have been suffering from widespread muscle and maybe joint pains since november 2010. I believe it could be Fibromyalgia but i'm not too sure. I have had one doctor agree with me that it could be and said he would try and help me find a rheumatologist to figure out what is wrong. I was planning on shopping around in the Norfolk/Chesapeake area for one and found 4 possibly 5 possible rheumatologists. I was planning to make a short appointment with each of them just to meet them and see what they are like to find out whether I would like to go to any of them. I just thought I would come on here and find out if anyone would know of any good rheumatologists in the area. So that's my question. Does anyone living in the Hampton Roads area of VA know of any good rheumatologists that i could go to? Sounds good but I have SSI and was told by a friend it's best to go to a rheumatologist for the diagnosis for anything that could be my problem. As it stands, i don't really know that i have Fibromyalgia. that's just my best guess. i could have something else all together or many things mixed in with it. i'd like to stick with a rheumatologist if possible. I have had blood tests and x-rays done. nothing showed up on either. i would have had the MRI done sooner but only just got my insurance this past Wednesday. i was going to let the rheumy if i can find one do the tests he needs to do. the rheumys i have found are also internists so hopefully they will be more knowledgeable in the area....
